This week’s feature is with Stampin’ Up’s Online Exclusive Peaceful View stamp set. The stamp is a cling stamp which I colored with daubers. I used Garden Green for the greenery at the base of the stamp. I colored the leaves of the tree with the colors Pumpkin Pie and Real Red. Then to color the tree trunk I took the Early Espresso Stampin Up marker and the side of the brush to color the trunk and the fence. I chose a pattern of the Splendid Autumn DSP that showed mostly the with a watercolor pattern at the bottom. I huffed on the cling stamp to add moisture to the inks. I stamped directly on the DSP. I used the largest die in the Textured Notes dies to cut a framed scene.
In the second technique with the Peaceful View stamp set I used Versamark ink and stamped on a second pattern of Splendid Autumn DSP and heat embossed the image in Black embossing powder. It created a beautiful silhouette of the tree with a beautiful background. This second image was framed again with the Textured Notes dies. The first card’s sentiment is from the Amber Autumn stamp set and the second card’s sentiment is from a retired set Special Moments. I demonstrated these two techniques on my Sunday video on Facebook.
