This week’s featured cards are Stampin’ Up’s Gingerbread Man in the Mini Catalogue. I created two fun holiday cards and a treat box. The first card is a top fold card. The card base is Shaded Spruce 4 1/4 x 11 scored at 5 1/2. The Elegant Pine Snowflake DSP is the background and cut 4 x 5 1/4. The large Gingerbread Man die is cut once with Pecan Pie Two Tone cardstock then the outline Gingerbread Man stamp is inked in Pecan Pie. The decorative dies the candy cane, lollipop, candy, bow tie, cup and hat are cut in Shaded Spruce and Basic White. The brim on the hat is cut in All Season Velvet paper in white velvet. The sentiment is from the set and heat embossed in white. The Red and White Peppermint gems is his buttons. The next card is the third card. The card base is Basic White 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4. The background is the Traditions of Christmas DSP. The Gingerbread die is cut completely in Pecan Pie Two Tone cardstock and folds into two Gingerbread Men. The outline stamp of the Gingerbread Man is inked in Pecan Pie on the front. The decorative dies of the hat, cup, candy cane, bow tie are cut in Cherry Cobbler and Basic White. The brim on the hat is white velvet. The Peppermint gems are his buttons. The center Gingerbread Man is a Treat Box. Take two panels of 6 x 6 Pecan Pie Two Tone cardstock and cut the large Gingerbread Man die once through both panels. Then cut a panel of Pecan Pie Two Tone cardstock 3 1/4 x 7 1/2 score on the long side 1”, 3 1/4”, 4 1/4”, and 6 1/2. On the short side score 1” for the bottom on the box. Cut tabs to the 1” score line and wedge each tab. Add Tear and Tape to one side and fold to create the box then add Tear and Tape to adhere the bottom. Decorate both Gingerbread Men the same. The decorative dies scarf, hat and cup are cut in Blueberry Bushel cardstock. I used adhesive strip on Basic White to die cut the face and white frosting. When the Gingerbread Men are decorated add glue to the box on each side and adhere only the torso of Gingerbread Man to the box. The treat box will stand. The little box will hold a cocoa packet and candy canes!
